Iran: 5 days to enrich uranium to the level of nuclear weapons

TEHRAN (Reuters) – Iran will need only five days to increase uranium enrichment to 20 percent, the level at which nuclear weapons can be built, Iranian television quoted the head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Agency as saying.
“If we make the decision, we will be able to resume uranium enrichment by 20 percent in five days at the latest,” Ali Akbar Salehi was quoted as saying on state television.
Iran has abandoned most of its stockpile of enriched uranium by 20 percent under the nuclear deal signed by Tehran in 2015 with world powers.
The nuclear deal, which lifted sanctions on Iran, provides for uranium enrichment in Iran to stand at less than 5 percent.
