Interrogator Of Zebari: Whoever Sacked 300 Deputies For Proven Corruption Cannot Be Recycled For The Presidency

Haitham al-Jubouri, the former deputy and responsible for the interrogation of former Finance Minister Hoshyar Zebari, revealed, on Tuesday, the details of the latter’s dismissal, indicating that more than 300 deputies voted for his dismissal because of their confidence in Zebari’s corruption.
Al-Jubouri said in a televised interview, which was followed by Al-Malluma, that “it is not possible to form a majority government at the expense of parties that have political weight, and that the current majority is exclusionary and numerical only, and there is no clear program for the parties that want to form the government.”
He added that “what is the benefit of the elections if the three presidencies are recycled,” noting that “the candidate for the presidency, Hoshyar Zebari, was voted on by 300 deputies from all components, but the blocs that voted against Zebari are the ones who want him as president of the republic.”
Al-Jubouri indicated that “everyone knew that the current President of the Republic, Barham Salih, is close to the Sadrist movement, and it may be agreed upon at the last minute before entering Parliament regarding the presidency.” End / 25 D
