International Energy: Iran will soon manufacture nuclear weapons!

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported on Saturday a significant increase in Iran’s stockpile of enriched uranium, indicating that it is approaching the 90% threshold, the percentage required to manufacture nuclear weapons. According to the agency’s report, Iran’s total stockpile on February 8 reached 274.4 kilograms, compared to 182.2 kilograms three months earlier, reflecting a clear acceleration in the pace of production.
International observers called on the UN Security Council to take immediate punitive measures, while Britain, Germany and France proposed imposing additional sanctions on Tehran as part of ongoing diplomatic efforts to curb its nuclear activities.
In contrast, Washington has kept the door to negotiations open but stressed that it will not ease economic and political pressure unless Iran commits to strict restrictions on its nuclear and missile programs.
US officials have indicated that the maximum pressure policy may push Iran to return to the negotiating table with a more flexible position, especially in light of the economic challenges it faces as a result of Western sanctions.
International efforts to revive the 2015 nuclear deal face major obstacles, as Washington considers the agreement to have lost much of its effectiveness after the Donald Trump administration withdrew from it in 2018.
