Integrity issued arrest warrants for “Rafie al-Issawi,” corruption charges

Palm – announced Rusafa Court of Appeals, Thursday, issuing a warrant of arrest and investigation against outgoing Finance Minister Rafie al-Issawi on suspicion of involvement in corruption cases which denied flag of the Integrity Commission, which confirmed that the decision is not competence. The President of the Court of Appeal said Rusafa Jafar Mohsin told media that the investigating judge Integrity issued an arrest warrant and investigate the right of outgoing Finance Minister Rafie al-Issawi on charges related to the issues of financial corruption without giving details about the cases.
Judge Mohsen explained that the concerned authorities referred the file-Issawi to justice before submitting his resignation from office, and pointed out that Issawi file includes nine cases relating to charges of financial and administrative corruption, noting that the decision to arrest this regard only two cases.
For his part, spokesman for the Integrity Commission Hassan Karim Aati that the Authority had no knowledge of the issuance of the arrest warrant because this is not their competence, saying that the Integrity Commission does not declare usually for no position on such issues, and they declared only in the event of a court ruling gained final.
