The Federal Integrity Commission stressed, on Sunday, the necessity of transforming state institutions to a digital system, which contributes to preventing corruption and increasing state revenues.
The head of the commission, Mohammed Ali Al-Lami, said in a statement received by Al-Maalouma Agency, that “state institutions must move to digitalization and automate their procedures,” noting that “this contributes to preventing corruption and maximizing state revenues.”
He praised: “The measures taken by the commission’s departments to achieve digital transformation, including the institution management system (Laser Fiche), and the project to establish a Digital Forensics Laboratory (DFL), which seeks to support the commission in tracking down funds smuggled as a result of corruption crimes, and enhances its ability to detect corruption, fraud, and money laundering, investigate these crimes, and deter their perpetrators.”
He added that “all countries suffer from the serious effects of the scourge of corruption,” indicating: “the importance of concerted efforts between countries, organizations, and United Nations programs to assist in prosecuting and extraditing wanted persons and recovering the proceeds of corruption that they smuggled.”
