Data released by the Central Statistical Organization on Saturday showed that the general consumer price index in Iraq rose by 0.7% in August 2026 compared to July, while it increased by 3.3% on an annual basis compared to August 2025.
According to data seen by Shafaq News Agency, the general consumer price index in Iraq reached approximately 110.9 in August 2026, compared to 110.1 in July 2026, registering a monthly increase of 0.7%.
On an annual basis, the index rose to 110.9 in August 2026, compared to 107.4 in August 2025, with the annual inflation rate recording an increase of 3.3%.
