Shafaq News/ Informed political sources revealed, on Wednesday, that there were differences between the leaders of the coordination framework and Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani, which prompted some to threaten to dismiss al-Sudani from office.
The sources told Shafaq News agency, “The past few days witnessed disagreements between the leaders of the coordination framework and Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’a al-Sudani, because al-Sudani took some decisions without referring to the leadership body in the framework, which aroused anger and rejection of the framework leaders led by Nuri al-Maliki.”
And the sources indicated that “the leaders of the coordination framework informed Al-Sudani during a recent meeting of the need to inform and inform the leadership body of the framework of any decision before it is officially taken, with the need to find quick solutions to the crisis of the dollar’s rise in the local market.”
She added, “The leaders of the coordination framework told Al-Sudani that any decline in the economic and living standard of citizens will affect the status of the electoral framework forces, especially since Iraq is on a date with local elections (provincial council elections) and early parliamentary elections.”
The sources concluded by saying, “The leaders of the coordination framework assured Al-Sudani that continuing to take decisions individually without referring to the leadership body will remove support and political protection from him, and this matter will lead to his dismissal from office.”
The sources did not clarify what decisions Al-Sudani took alone without referring to the leaders of the framework.
It should be noted that the leaders and forces of the coordinating framework inclusive of the Shiite forces, with the exception of the Sadrist movement, were not completely in agreement with Muhammad Shia al-Sudani assuming the premiership, and before his government was voted on in late October, the framework witnessed disagreements between its leaders and several names were proposed instead. However, after the formation of the State Administration Alliance, which includes the coordinating framework and the Sunni and Korean forces, Al-Sudani became the only candidate to form the new government.
