IMO President: Iraq is developing and I stress joint cooperation with it

Shafaq News/ On Sunday, the President of the International Maritime Organization, Arsenio Dominguez, expressed his interest in the development taking place in Iraq, and while stressing his desire for joint cooperation, he extended an official invitation to the Iraqi Minister of Transport to visit the organization.
Dominguez conducted a field tour of the northern and southern ports of Umm Qasr, accompanied by the Iraqi Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibis, the Iraqi Ambassador to Britain, Jaafar Al-Sadr, the Governor of Basra, Asaad Al-Eidani, and a number of officials.
He said during a press conference attended by Shafaq News Agency, “I am very interested in what I see of development in Iraq and the continuity of work, and I want to emphasize the joint cooperation between us, and I look forward to visiting the country again and find it more developed, and I invite you to visit the international organization in London.”
For his part, Minister of Transport Razzaq Muhaibis explained during the conference that “the visit came at the invitation of the Iraqi government, and the organization is responsible for managing the maritime sector and creating a state of continuous cooperation, and that Iraq has deposited more than 30 maritime agreements and protocols, the latest of which is related to mandatory inspection, and thus completed all the requirements required of it to be included in the white list, like the rest of the countries.”
