Hosting Al-Sudani tops parliament’s agenda today

The media office of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani spoke today, Wednesday, about the files that al-Sudani will speak about before Parliament during his first hosting of its kind since he was granted confidence two years ago. The media office of al-Sudani stated in a statement that “the House of Representatives will host, in its session today, Wednesday, Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, at his request, to talk about the government’s policies and the measures it is taking to confront the challenges and developments taking place in the region, since the events of October 7, 2023.”
He added, “The government programme’s components, priorities and verified ones, as well as the important and necessary draft laws to achieve the development plans’ objectives, will be addressed.”
It is noteworthy that the parliament announced hosting Al-Sudani “upon his request”, indicating that the hosting comes to discuss a number of issues that have an impact on the course of government work, and to discuss priority topics, including the security file, the economy, and public services, in addition to discussing the latest developments on the local and international scene.
Hosting Al-Sudani topped the parliament’s agenda today, as this hosting is the first of its kind since Al-Sudani was granted confidence two years ago.
