Hamas: Ready for a truce and prisoner exchange agreement

Shafaq News/ A leading source in Hamas confirmed on Wednesday that the movement is “ready” to conclude an agreement with Israel regarding a truce in the Gaza Strip, after the ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon came into effect.
A leader in the movement told Agence France-Presse that the ceasefire in Lebanon represents “a victory and a great achievement for the resistance.”
The Hamas leader stressed that the movement had informed “mediators in Egypt, Qatar and Turkey” that it was ready for a ceasefire agreement and a serious prisoner exchange deal, provided that Israel committed to it.
He pointed out that Israel “is obstructing and evading reaching an agreement and continuing the war of extermination.”
