8-26-2012: Iraqi Dinar Guru Guesses

8-26-2012 Doc There are a couple of articles that we found very encouraging that issued late this week. They both addressed what we continue to contend are key issues before currency reform will occur. A quote from the first article stated “MP Mustafa further added that an important law drafting, which is concerned with oil and natural gas, should take place under the participation of UN to wipe out all the previous disputes between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the Central Government.” What we find encouraging is there appears to be a seriousness to address the Ebril issues to the point of “mediation” by the UN. If this pans out we are hopeful resolution will come quickly.

8-26-2012 Poppy3 We are waiting on the National Conference and for Talabini to return. We did get confirmation that the small denoms and coins were being shown on TV and that it was coming. Also, from 3 different sources, something major is to take place on Sunday [today] but don’t know what or why, but it is supposed to affect what we are looking for. There is also the probability that on Sept. 18 & 19 when Shabibi will be holding the Banking Meeting that the National Conference for Iraq will be going on at the same time & that’s when the RV will hit…this has not been confirmed, just a good rumor for now. Either way, it’s just a matter of time.

8-26-2012 8Ball Iraqi Parliament reconvenes on Tuesday. That meeting, in Parliament with the CBI is within line of sight. CBI Governor will be in Parliament (trigger man). UN is looking after the HCL law. Maliki is working on the security ministers tomorrow (The political man). Talibani will be returning to Iraq after surgery on his knee (Following theDoctors orders  ). Expect this week for Talibani to call the date for the National Convention. [post 1 of 2…stay tuned]

8-26-2012 SWFloridaGuy The CBI has already told us that they will make their move with the National Economic Project (whatever that may be), once the GOI ends the crisis by forming a power-sharing government where the necessary Interior and Defense Ministries have been appointed. I think there is an excellent chance that things have finally turned in our favor and we may see evidence of this shortly. These are just my opinions, which may or may not be correct. [Post 3 of 3]

8-26-2012 Doc A second article stated “MP for the coalition of state law were part of the National Alliance, Ibrahim al-Rikabi, said the meeting, which will be held tomorrow between Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and parliament speaker Osama Nujaifi would be to determine the names of the security ministries interior and defense.” Again if this pans out then it will go a long way to help stabilize the GOI by fully seating all critical positions. We know Shabibi has in the past and recently stated he needs to see stability before any reform will happen. We view this as positive and are only hopeful that the parties involved will deliver this time. If so we get very excited. We report, you decide.

8-26-2012 SWFloridaGuy [Article] Breaking News: Maliki and Nujaifi’s meeting ends. The meeting was fruitful, where most of the outstanding issues were agreed on, and Maliki and Nujaifi will make an press statements to the media.

8-26-2012 BGG Maliki & Nujaifi are meeting on Sunday. If Maliki does not do what he is supposed to than Nujaifi is the trigger man. They are to talk about the last ministers and the state of the reform package. Talabani has been in at least one time already. Things are not always as portrayed in the media. He hasn’t told anybody because he didn’t want to be under pressure to hold the National Conference & have it fail prematurely. It’s been leaked that the President of the U. S. is going there. Why would he go there in the middle of the election cycle? Something has to be going down to cause him to believe it’s valuable for him to be there? He has to know that something monumental is going to take place & I don’t think it’s for Syria or for world peace. The CBI is again talking about replacing the currency and raising the value. We have been getting great news for the last 2 weeks. We are in a really good position.

8-26-2012 BGG It appears Talibani is letting everyone know he is ready, willing and able to show up – IF THEY ARE. That is the key. If they agree to a National Meeting – he’s coming back. If not – we wait a while – yet.

LIKE SHABIBI SAID THIS COULD BE LIKE A POLITICAL WHIRLWIND IT COULD END UP SOME SWEEPING REFORMS BOTH ON THE POLITICAL AND THE ECONOMIC SIDE… I WAS WATCHING AND LOOKING FOR A SWING IN POSITIONS OR MOMENTUM AND IT SEEMS TO BE HAPPENING.
