Group of Twenty says modest economic growth and warns of downside risks

Group of Twenty, which includes the twenty largest economies in the world, said on Friday that economic growth remains “modest and uneven,” with the presence of downside risks ranging from the possible exit of Britain from the European Union and geopolitical conflicts.
In a statement issued after a meeting of finance ministers and central bank governors countries of the Group of Twenty Group reaffirmed its previous commitments on exchange rates, “including that we will abstain from competitive devaluations in the currency’s value and we will not turn our exchange rates for competitive purposes.”
