The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, called on Iran on Monday to resume cooperation with the agency, stressing that addressing issues related to its nuclear program and achieving confidence and stability will only be accomplished through joint action.
Grossi said: “We are extending our hand to Iran once again to work with us to clarify the issues related to its nuclear program,” stressing that the agency will take its “security concerns” into account when resuming its work in Iran.
He added: “We recognize the difficult situation due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East region,” stressing that “trust and stability will only be achieved if we work together again.”
The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency warned that “the world will not be safer as long as there are 30 nuclear states.”
