Good news for retirees in Iraq: September salaries released

The Ministry of Finance announced on Friday the release of salaries for civilian and military retirees for the month of September.
The ministry said in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, “The Accounting Department at the Ministry of Finance has begun procedures to finance the salaries of civilian and military retirees for the current month of September, as the National Retirement Authority and Rafidain and Rashid Banks have begun raising salaries via electronic payment cards.”
The ministry called on retirees who receive text messages to “visit bank branches or ATMs in Baghdad and the provinces to receive their salaries.”
In addition, the Rafidain Bank media office stated in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency that “the distribution of salaries to civilian and military retirees has begun.”
He stressed that “retirees who receive text messages can go and collect their salaries from wherever they are.”
This came after Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani directed Finance Ministry employees on Thursday to report to work on Fridays and Saturdays to complete the distribution of retirees’ salaries.
