Economist Robert Kiyosaki said via his account on the “X” platform that gold prices have exceeded the level of $5,000 per ounce, indicating the possibility of it reaching $27,000 in the future in light of the continued state of financial and economic uncertainty globally.
Gold continued its rise in today’s session, surpassing $5,110 an ounce in spot trading for the first time ever.
Gold prices rose 1.98% to $5,081.18 per ounce in spot trading by 03:23 GMT, after touching $5,092.71 earlier. US gold futures for February delivery also climbed 2.01% to $5,079.30 per ounce.
The price of gold jumped 64% in 2025, fueled by continued safe-haven demand, US monetary policy easing, strong central bank purchases (with China buying gold for the 14th consecutive month in December), and record inflows into exchange-traded funds. Prices have risen by more than 17% this year.
