The leader in the coordination framework, Jabbar Odeh, confirmed, on Monday, that America did not interact with three government messages to end the electricity crisis.
Odeh said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, that “the electricity crisis worsened 72 hours ago, at alarming levels, with the cut-off reaching 18 hours per day, in an atmosphere approaching half the boiling point, and this did not come by chance, but rather intended, and its aim is to provoke an internal crisis to pressure the Sudanese government from before the White House.
He added, “America did not interact with three government messages about facilitating the arrival of Iraqi funds to pay off gas import debts to the Iranian side, but rather did not take any step towards ending the crisis by facilitating the task of sending money because of its sanctions.”
He pointed out that “America realizes that Al-Sudani’s strategy in managing many vital files has become a threat to its influence, so it seeks, by complicating financial payments to pay off debts for imported Iranian gas, to create a direct crisis in the country,” stressing that “the coordination framework supports Al-Sudani’s options in Ending the current electricity crisis.
The Iraqi provinces are experiencing a major energy crisis after supplies have been reduced to 18 hours per day, amid rising temperatures.
