Shafaq News/ A member of the Iraqi Parliament, Amer Abdul-Jabbar revealed, on Saturday, the formation of a parliamentary bloc opposing corruption in all aspects of the state.
Abdul-Jabbar said during a press conference held in the parliament building, with the participation of a number of deputies, and was attended by Shafaq News agency: “We, as members of the parliament, aim to form a parliamentary bloc that opposes corruption in all aspects of the state and in all its forms.”
He added, “There are many laws related to corruption that need to be activated and followed up by the oversight role of the Parliament,” pointing out that “independent MPs are moving seriously to form a large, effective bloc within Parliament, to correct the government’s work during the next stage.”
