Net added, that “the loan repayment period extends for more than 40 years with an interest rate of one percent,” noting that “Japanese companies will have priority in projects to rehabilitate Iraqi ports.”
For his part, the Japanese ambassador in Baghdad, Kazuya Nascida,: “The Japan continuing to support reconstruction projects in Iraq since 2004 and so far in the framework of its commitment to the development of friendly relations between the two countries,” noting that “the new loan to Iraq is one of the 19 loans made by Japan and a total of four billion dollars, and included various sectors, such as health, education, oil, energy, agriculture and others. ”
Nascida said, that “Japanese companies are aggressively looking for work in Iraq, which has become an important figure among investors because its inclusion of the elements of the investment, not only in the field of oil by, but in other areas as well.”
The Iraqi government announced, in (the seventh of February 2013), the Japanese companies have expressed their willingness to open offices in Iraq for the implementation of investment projects, indicating that it will form a joint committee to expand cooperation between the two countries in the fields of oil and gas, construction, while stressed the Japanese government on the importance of supporting trade and investment relations with Iraq.
