The exchange rate of the US dollar continued its remarkable rise in the markets of Baghdad and Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, on Saturday, as morning trading began at the start of this week.
A Shafaq News Agency correspondent reported that the dollar exchange rate rose in the Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya exchanges in Baghdad to reach 159,750 Iraqi dinars per 100 dollars, compared to 158,850 dinars last Thursday.
Our correspondent noted that selling prices at currency exchange shops in local markets in Baghdad have increased, with the selling price reaching 160,250 dinars for 100 dollars, while the buying price recorded 159,250 dinars.
In Erbil, the dollar prices recorded a similar increase, with the selling price reaching 159,450 dinars per 100 dollars, and the buying price reaching 159,350 dinars.
