Shafaq News/ The Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Electoral Commission, Jalil Adnan, announced on Thursday, the completion of special preparations for conducting the legislative elections process scheduled for the tenth of next month.
Adnan said in a press conference held at Al-Rasheed Hotel in Baghdad, attended by Shafak News Agency, that “the commission has completed all preparations from updating the voter register and names of candidates to conducting three simulations in the presence of the Prime Minister.”
He added, “The Supreme Security Committee for Elections also prepared to take all precautions for the polling day.”
The Chairman of the Board of Commissioners pointed out that the upcoming elections will not be similar to their previous counterparts and for a number of reasons. We are in front of a new election law and a new commission from the judiciary, and the Commission is committed to the law according to a plan, as the polling day will witness a new transformation in Iraq, as the results will be announced within 24 hours, as The simulation results reached the national office in less than 90 minutes.
