The representative of the Al-Fatah Alliance said on Thursday that the issue of the Americans’ exit from Iraq is entrusted to the Iraqi government, noting that the House of Representatives has fulfilled its role to the fullest extent.
Al-Sultani said in a statement to the Al-Ma’louma Agency, “The House of Representatives has approved a law banning the American presence and any foreign forces on Iraqi soil,” noting that “the scheduling is related to the government’s negotiations with the American side on this file.”
She added, “The Sudanese visit discussed this file in Washington, and specialized committees were formed to follow up on the matter, and the withdrawal will take place after the completion of negotiations by those committees.”
Observers believe that the withdrawal of foreign forces from Iraq is a popular political demand, and the Iraqi government must quickly prepare a schedule for their withdrawal.
