The representative of the Al-Fateh Parliamentary Bloc, Rafik Al-Salihi, suggested, on Wednesday, that the budget for the next year be sent to Parliament tomorrow, Thursday, indicating that the committees that were formed to resolve differences with the budget articles worked diligently and seriously.
Al-Salhi said in a statement to Al-Maalouma, “Tomorrow, Thursday, is the last day of the first legislative term of the House of Representatives, and in the event that the budget arrives, Parliament will continue to work until the budget is approved for next year, and vice versa, Parliament will be suspended for a month.”
He added, “The committees specialized in resolving disputes with the budget articles worked diligently and seriously in order to complete the draft budget law before the end of the first legislative term of the House of Representatives.” It is likely that “the government will send the draft law to the House of Representatives tomorrow, Thursday.”
And MP Muhammad Al-Baldawi announced in a previous statement that the House of Representatives addressed the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and the Ministries of Finance and Planning to speed up the resolution of the draft budget law and send it to Parliament before the end of the current legislative term.
