Deputy Mudar Al-Karawi confirmed, on Saturday, that the postponement of the parliamentary session to vote on the cabinet for the government of Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani is very likely, noting that Al-Sudani is trying to present his cabinet completely.
Al-Karawi said in a statement to “Al-Maalouma”, that “until this moment, the list of candidates in the cabinet for the government of the designate has not been decided, in light of the presence of different views between the political forces, and discussions have continued since yesterday at an increasing pace to resolve it.”
He added, “The postponement of today’s session is very possible, especially since the Prime Minister-designate is trying to have a complete vote on the ministries in order to proceed with the implementation of his government program, especially with the presence of complex and difficult files, including the economic.”
Al-Karawi indicated that “postponing the session to Monday or Tuesday will give more time for dialogue and discussion to resolve all the names presented.”
