Independent MP Bassem Khazaal revealed, on Monday, that some political blocs and Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi had retracted their stance towards removing foreign forces from the country, led by the American forces.
Khazal said that “the political blocs that previously voted on the decision to remove foreign forces from the country have retreated from their previous position,” noting that “the political blocs have no real position and act according to their personal interests only.”
He added that “Al-Kazemi’s government is not serious about proceeding with the implementation of the previous parliament’s decision, but rather is one of the supporters of the American presence in Iraq.” .
The deputy of the Alliance of Fath, Fadel Al-Fatlawi, confirmed today, Monday, that the House’s decision to remove the American forces will not be canceled, indicating that the government is obligated to implement it.
