A member of the parliamentary law, Zana Said, said that there are two ways to cancel the results of parliamentary elections held on May 12, 2018.
“The House of Representatives has prepared a bill to cancel the elections,” Said said in an interview with the semi-official Al-Sabah newspaper, which was read by Mawazin News. “The chances of its approval and legislation are very small.”
He added that “in the event of a quorum, the parliament can read the bill for the first time and second and then vote on it,” pointing out that “the second way to cancel the election is the refusal of the Federal Court to ratify the election results.”
The House of Representatives failed to hold its second extraordinary session, which was supposed to be held on Saturday, because of the lack of quorum.
