Dangerous: Signs of a sudden withdrawal of US forces from Baghdad to Erbil

A member of the United Anbar Alliance, Mohammed al-Dulaimi, revealed on Friday strong indications of a sudden withdrawal of US forces from Baghdad toward Erbil in the Kurdistan Region.
Al-Dulaimi said in a statement to Al-Maalouma Agency that “the US forces cancelled the lease of the emergency airstrip inside their headquarters in Baghdad and handed it over to the central government without explaining the reasons, describing the decision as “surprising.”
He added that “US forces have also cancelled contracts to supply their forces at Ain al-Asad base with petroleum products, indicating a preliminary step toward a tactical withdrawal from the base located in the al-Baghdadi district, west of Anbar.”
Al-Dulaimi pointed out that “these moves come as parliamentary elections approach, raising security concerns that the withdrawal is part of a plan to destabilize and spread chaos in the country.”
He stressed that “the new American plan aims to transfer all forces to the Kurdistan Region and hand over military bases to the central government.”
