Essam Shaker, a member of the Coordination Framework, revealed on Saturday that the actual consultations of the Framework’s forces have begun in order to develop a roadmap for forming the next government.
Shaker told Al-Maalomah, “The forces of the framework, with all their titles, have actually begun the first dialogues between their parties with the aim of setting a roadmap for the nature of the formation of the next government and the entitlements of the forces in light of the results announced by the commission,” noting that “the results, although preliminary, are decisive and provided a comprehensive reading of the size of the forces and the number of their seats, which makes the framework aware of the importance and sensitivity of the stage and the need to accelerate the pace of forming the government.”
He added, “The forces within the framework are in agreement on the principles that will form the basis for the nature of the next government’s formation and the entitlements of the various political forces. There is a general consensus that the identity of the Prime Minister will emerge from within the framework.” He noted, “It is not possible at present to decide on the Prime Minister’s identity until the dialogues are completed. However, in any case, and according to the constitutional framework, the current government has the legal mandate to operate until January 8, 2026. This grants the forces within the framework considerable flexibility to intensify the dialogues and produce outcomes for dealing with the other political forces in order to form the next government.”
