A security source in Anbar province revealed on Thursday that Ain al-Assad airbase witnessed the landing of a giant American transport plane coming from the State of Qatar, amid heavy flying of American warplanes in the skies of the western regions.
The source told Al-Maalouma Agency, “Ain al-Assad base in the al-Baghdadi area in the Hit district, west of Anbar, witnessed the landing of a giant American transport plane designated for transporting fighters and military vehicles, coming from Qatar. It was accompanied by warplanes as it entered the airspace of the western regions, without knowing its cargo.”
He added, “The return of American planes to the Ain al-Assad base building indicates the presence of a large number of its forces inside the building, which refutes the story of evacuating the building of combat forces.” He stressed that “the landing of the giant transport plane comes as part of a plan to prepare the deployment and positioning of American forces in Iraq without their withdrawal.”
He pointed out that “American forces have tightened security measures around the base building and nearby areas for precautionary reasons.”
