MP for the Legal Committee Salim Chawki, said on Wednesday that Parliament will be asked to amend the Vice President of the Republic Act for the development of one deputy.
Shawki said in a statement, said he ‘does not have the right to veto the House of Representatives on the Federal Court’s decision to return the Vice President of the Republic to their office, the fact that the Court’s decisions are binding on the three presidencies’.
The statement added that ‘Parliament will ask the Prime Minister to send a draft amendment to the Law of the Vice President of the Republic, according to the Constitution’, pointing out that ‘through this law could be introduced only one deputy to the President and thus avoid legal irregularities’.
The statement pointed out that ‘there is a need for a vice president for the exercise of the powers in the absence of the President and if possible to reduce the allocations were chosen deputies only one.’
