The deputy of the State of Law coalition, Muhammad Chihod, stressed the need to expedite the process of forming a government, while indicating that the parliament’s vote on the Sadrist bloc’s replacements will be soon.

Chihod said in an interview with the “Information” agency, “The idea of dissolving Parliament is not on the table and will not take place, and in the coming days we will witness a real consensus between the political forces for the purpose of forming a government.”

And he indicated, “The political situation is heading to move the wheel of government formation, especially after the resignation of the Sadrist bloc’s representatives,” explaining that “the vote on the replacements will take place in the next few days, and after the end of the legislative term, the government will be formed.”

He added, “The Kurdish forces and the Progress Alliance have tended to hold intensive meetings with the coordination framework, and everyone will proceed to form the government away from exclusion and marginalization.”

He pointed out that “the citizen is waiting for the approval of the budget and the provision of services, especially after two years of the caretaker government, which did not provide anything,” noting that “the discussions of the political forces give a positive impression of an upcoming breakthrough.”

A member of the Victory Coalition, Aqeel Al-Rudaini, had revealed in a previous interview to “The Information”, that he had collected parliamentary signatures for more than 50 deputies to hold an emergency session to vote on the replacement deputies, which will be held during the next few days.
