Chief of Staff U.S.: We will not return to Iraq

Follow-up – and babysit – announced the chief of staff of the American military Gen. Martin Dempsey, who will visit Iraq later that “Iraq told us of his intention to strengthen military ties with the United States, eight months after the withdrawal of U.S. troops from that country.”
Dempsey said in remarks to reporters before his visit to Afghanistan and then heading to Iraq, “I think the Iraqi leadership realized she missed the opportunity to establish more normal relations with us.”
He explained: “I do not mean that we will come back to Iraq.”
The talks took place before the U.S. withdrawal in December 31 in 2011 to give immunity for American soldiers to train elements of the security forces, but the Parliament refused to give this immunity.
He added: “I think that Iraqi officials have realized that their needs to be further developed, and I think they are trying to communicate with us to see if we can help them in this area.”
He said the defense minister and the commander of the Iraqi army inquired about the possibility of action exercises with the U.S. military and the training of Iraqi officers, and other forms of “security cooperation
