That its only about liquidity which will be solved by just flipping a switch and suddenly having a $3 RV for instant purchasing power. So if it’s that easy why haven’t they done it yet? Why are they up against losing Kurdistan to independence and having mass protest on the green zone if it’s just that easy? Its because its NOT that easy and it IS about the HCL! This is a political problem that is complex that goes back even pre-Maliki between the Shiites and Sunnis and the Center and the Region. It involves the payments to oil companies, the Peshmerga, Article 140, and the level of independence that is allowable under the constitution. The thing that was required BEFORE that change was a sense of SECURITY within the GOI and the banking and leadership of IRAQ (the PM – Abadi and the Gov of Iraq – Dr. Shabibi). The monetary reform (Lava Flow) is beautiful…masterful. Iraq is passing laws which they’ve been doing for a long time…which was hard for them because they had no security at the time especially when Maliki was around. Iraq wants the world to know that Maliki (who was always a problem when they tried to pass laws in the past) is no longer a threat anymore. The removal of Maliki was important and allowed these laws to come forth and the sequence of these laws…the domino effect…from one law to another finally allowed things to happen. 7-2-2015 Newshound Guru Enorrste The plan, as I understand it, is to issue the large 50000 and 100000 notes in order to do two things: reduce the demand for the dollar within Iraq and allow for a reduction in the money supply. If the first does not happen, then the second cannot happen. Without a reduction in the money supply the value of the dinar will not rise. Actually, to put it more accurately, unless there is upward pressure on the dinar value the money supply cannot be reduced. Therefore, if the introduction of the large notes does not stem the demand for dollars then there will be no way to wean the country off of dollars and back to the dinar. Without more upward pressure on the dinar, the longer term plan is in jeopardy. Read more…
