The spokesman for the popular legal movement, Muhammad Al-Sahaf, called on the judiciary today, Monday, to immediately pursue those involved in the case of theft of tax deposits.
Al-Sahaf told Al-Maalouma Agency, “The theft of the century issue has become a matter of public opinion, indicating that it represents a black spot in the history of the state due to the nature and size of the stolen money.”
He added, “The Iraqi judiciary must immediately pursue those involved in stealing tax deposits, noting that the scandal of stealing billions from tax deposits represents a major national betrayal.”
He added, “Parliament is required to take reform measures, combat corruption, correct the government’s course of action, and demand an investigation into the looted funds.”
