The 17th BRICS summit will kick off on Sunday in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with the participation of leaders from emerging economic powers to discuss prospects for international cooperation and formulate a vision that reflects the aspirations of a multipolar world.
The summit will continue on July 6 and 7, with Russian President Vladimir Putin participating remotely, along with a Russian delegation headed by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
The group includes 10 members: Russia, China, India, Brazil, and South Africa. Egypt, the UAE, Ethiopia, and Iran joined last year, and Indonesia joined at the beginning of this year.
While other countries, including Belarus, Cuba, Kazakhstan, Vietnam and Saudi Arabia, cooperate with the group.
