Border crossings announce revenues exceeding 2.2 trillion dinars for 2025

The Border Ports Authority announced on Sunday that it has achieved unprecedented customs revenues for 2025, exceeding 2.2 trillion Iraqi dinars.
In a statement received by Al-Maalomah News Agency, the Authority confirmed that “this achievement is based on the government program that emphasized combating corruption and improving governance of government procedures in departments operating within the border ports. The oversight and electronic procedures adopted by the Authority have significantly contributed to raising the level of customs revenues.” The statement
added that “the substantial increase in revenues was achieved as a result of streamlining procedures and reducing paperwork in transactions related to customs clearance, in addition to organizing coordination with supporting agencies operating within the border ports, which has enhanced transparency, speed of procedures, and accuracy of collection.”
