Blinken in Baghdad in the coming hours: to discuss the Gaza file and American bases

Shafaq News/ US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken is scheduled to arrive in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, tomorrow, Sunday, at a time when American bases in Iraq and Syria are witnessing repeated attacks by Iraqi factions.
An informed government source told Shafaq News Agency, “The US Secretary of State will make an official visit tomorrow, Sunday, to the capital, Baghdad, during which he will meet with Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani and his Iraqi counterpart, Fuad Hussein,” explaining that “the visit comes to discuss developments in the situation in the region following the war in Gaza”.
He continued, “The US Secretary of State’s discussions will focus on the armed factions’ escalation of attacks against American targets and interests and delivering warning messages that Washington will respond to those attacks.”
