MP Baqir Al-Saadi expected on Tuesday that the 2025 budget tables will be sent by the Council of Ministers before the November elections.
Al-Saadi told Al-Maalouma, “The 2025 budget tables have already been delayed, and this has negatively impacted the work of ministries, agencies, and institutions, especially in the issue of financing service projects in all their categories.” He pointed out that “the tables are expected to be sent by the Council of Ministers before the end of the parliament’s legislative session, i.e. before the October elections, in preparation for proceeding with voting on them.”
He added, “The tables will be important and will take into account changes in oil prices and essential needs, in addition to covering the rights of various Iraqi state employees, especially with the presence of many laws that require funding.”
It is noteworthy that the 2025 budget tables were expected to arrive in February or March, but their delay has impacted the work of ministries, institutions, and local governments in financing projects in various sectors.
