The Kurdistan Regional Council of Ministers stressed, on Wednesday, the importance of organizing salaries and distributing imports fairly, referring to the last meeting with the federal government on oil and the budget.
This came during his regular session, which was held today, headed by Speaker Masroor Barzani and in the presence of his deputy, Qubad Talabani.
According to the council’s media office statement, Barzani “highlighted at the beginning of the meeting the visit made by the delegation of the Federal Government headed by Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi to Erbil,” noting that “it was emphasized in the last meeting with the federal government the importance of adhering to the agreement concluded between the two sides Concerning oil and the budget, and resolving outstanding problems based on the constitution. ”
The statement added, “The Prime Minister also touched on the draft reform law in the Kurdistan region, confirming that the government will continue with the reform process, which aims to organize salaries and distribute imports fairly.”
He continued, Barzani “reassured that the government will not digest the rights of any entitled person, especially the families of martyrs, prisoners and political detainees, provided that a set of necessary clarifications in this regard are sent to the Kurdistan Regional Parliament to ensure the rights of the families of martyrs, prisoners and political detainees.”
He added, “The Cabinet discussed in another paragraph, the Public Private Sector Partnership Project (PPP) which is part of the government work program, and the Cabinet expressed its support for this project, which will implement joint strategic and service projects between the public and private sectors in a transparent legal framework.” It ultimately is in the public interest. ”
The statement concluded by saying, “In the light of this, the Cabinet directed the Ministry of Planning and all concerned parties to study the project and enrich it with the relevant observations and proposals.”
