The Iraqi Ministry of Finance deposited on Tuesday a sum of 298 billion dinars into the account of the Ministry of Finance and Economy in the Kurdistan Region to fund the salaries of employees and workers in the region’s public sector for the month of April.
According to information received by Shafaq News Agency, this amount was deposited into the account of the Ministry of Finance of the region at the branch of the Central Bank of Iraq in Erbil to complete the funding of April salaries in dinars.
For its part, the Kurdistan Finance Ministry confirmed in a statement that it had received the final installment of funding for April salaries for employees and salary recipients in the region, noting that the total amount reached (961,736,000,000).
As the Ministry of Finance explained in the statement, similar to previous months and with the arrival of funding for April salaries, the Ministry of Finance in the Federal Government did not send an amount of (16,624,814,478) dinars of funding for April salaries, which represents the salary entitlements for previous months for civilian and military retirees.
This comes in conjunction with the announcement by the Ministry of Finance and Economy last Sunday that more than 50 billion dinars of non-oil revenues for last April had been deposited into the bank account of the Federal Ministry of Finance.
The ministry said in a statement that it had deposited an amount of 50 billion, 292 million, and 213 thousand Iraqi dinars into the federal finance account at the Central Bank of Iraq branch in Erbil, as part of the financial procedures followed to settle non-oil revenues between the region and the federal government to finance the monthly salaries of Kurdistan employees.
