Amerli said in a statement received by Al-Maalouma, that “the economic situation and the challenges facing the Sudanese government currently are great and need urgent actual solutions, especially in light of the external pressures that directly affected the local economy and the fluctuation of the exchange rate of the dinar against the dollar in a way that negatively affected the market and the living conditions of the classes.” fragile and poor.”
He added, “The concerned authorities must take a number of steps to control the price of the dollar and support the local currency, including adopting the dinar exclusively as a means of internal commercial dealings in the sale of goods and merchandise, and agreeing with the countries of the regional periphery, especially Iran, Turkey and Syria, to adopt an alternative currency to the dollar in trade exchange.”
He called for “taking firmer and stronger measures with exchange rate manipulators in stock exchanges and private banks, expanding the scope of monitoring to include wholesale commercial markets, and international movement to seek support in accordance with the United Nations Charter, whether from the euro market or the Russian and Chinese market in the exchange and sale of oil and commodities to reduce the need for dollars.” ”
