At Trumps direction - US intelligence revokes Bidens security clearanceShafaq News/ US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard announced the revocation of former President Joe Biden’s security clearance, as well as the access to classified information of several prominent figures in the previous administration.

Gabbard wrote in a post on the X platform: “At the direction of President Donald Trump, I have revoked former President Joe Biden’s security clearance, and revoked clearances and access to classified information for Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, Fiona Hill, and Alexander Vindman.

It’s worth noting that the individuals mentioned in Gabrad’s post either worked in the administration of former US President Joe Biden or have criticized President Donald Trump.

Elizabeth Cheney and Adam Kinzinger: They were former members of the US House of Representatives and are known for their constant criticism of President Donald Trump.

Fiona Hill: Former Director for Russia at the US National Security Council, she is considered a leading expert on international affairs.

Alexander Vindman: A retired US Army officer, he previously served as a director at the National Security Council and played a prominent role in the Trump impeachment investigation.

This decision follows a previous move by the Trump administration to revoke access to classified information from Kamala Harris, Hillary Clinton, and members of Joe Biden’s family, citing violations or practices that could threaten national security.

Gabbard previously announced the revocation of the security clearances of 51 intelligence agents who signed the “disinformation” letter regarding Hunter Biden’s laptop.

In early March, it also announced that, at Trump’s direction, it had revoked the access to classified information of former Secretary of State Antony Blinken and former National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.

On February 7, US President Donald Trump restricted Biden’s access to classified information, stating, “Joe, you’re fired,” preventing him from accessing daily intelligence briefings.

It is common for former US presidents to receive intelligence briefings to enable them to advise current presidents on national security and foreign policy issues.

In 2021, President Joe Biden revoked the security clearance of then-President Trump, and last month, US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth revoked the personal security detail and security clearance of retired General Mark Milley, the former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
