Shafaq News/ Eyewitnesses from the residents of the areas near the Ain al-Assad air base in Anbar Governorate confirmed on Wednesday that there has been increasing military movement in the base in recent days.
Witnesses told Shafak News Agency that a number of military cargo planes arrived at the base, where they were seen unloading their cargo during the day and night.
According to witnesses, “the military activity included intensive movement of vehicles inside and around the base, in addition to the continuous flight of drones in the airspace.”
No official statements have been issued by the relevant authorities to clarify the nature of this activity, which has raised questions among local residents about the possible objectives behind these movements.
