Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi confirmed on Tuesday that the war on all fronts, including Lebanon, has ended, noting that the peace agreement with the United States will come into effect on Friday.
Araghchi said in press statements that “the declaration of the end of the war was the most important achievement in the first phase of the agreement, and it was officially announced yesterday morning, Monday,” indicating that “the official start of the implementation of the memorandum of understanding will be next Friday.”
He added that “the nuclear file and the sanctions will be discussed during the 60-day negotiation period with Washington,” noting that “Iran will raise its nuclear file and the lifting of the embargo in the final stage of these negotiations.”
He explained that “the first party to the memorandum of understanding is Iran and Israel, while the second party is Iran and Hezbollah,” stressing that “ending the war in Lebanon is a binding issue within the agreement to end the war with Iran.”
The Iranian Foreign Minister stressed that “any Israeli military attack on Lebanon or the continuation of the Israeli occupation of Lebanese territory constitutes a violation of the Memorandum of Understanding.”
Araghchi concluded by saying, “Yesterday, the war was declared to have ended immediately and definitively on all fronts, including Lebanon,” stressing that “ending the war in Lebanon is an integral part of ending the war with Iran, and includes Israel’s withdrawal from Lebanese territory.”
