Today, Saturday, political analyst Haider Arab attributed the failure to pass important laws in the House of Representatives to the negligence of the members in the first place, while he stressed that Al-Halbousi is still committing the position of Speaker of Parliament to the Taqadum Party.
In an interview with the Al-Ma’louma Agency, Arab said, “The failure to approve the laws that citizens are waiting for indicates the legislative defect that the House of Representatives is suffering from,” noting that “there is no legal obstacle to approving the laws under the acting presidency of Al-Mandalawi.”
He continued, “Al-Halbousi believes that the fate of the Taqadum Party remaining in the political arena is due to not abandoning the position of president,” noting that “Al-Halbousi’s popularity decreased significantly after his removal from the position.”
He pointed out that “Al-Halbousi is trying to obtain the position again in order to prepare for the upcoming elections,” adding that “Al-Halbousi is still committed to appointing the Speaker of Parliament to the Taqaddum Party.”
Al-Halbousi continues political meetings with several parties in order to reach an agreement that will lead to the nomination of a new figure from his party for the presidency, amid a major struggle from the Sunni forces that intend to present a candidate who will be acceptable to all parties of the component and other political forces.
