One of the sheikhs and notables of Anbar Governorate revealed, on Sunday, that hidden hands had disrupted the voting machines in the western regions for political reasons.
Sheikh Abdul Wahab Al-Dulaimi said in a statement to the Maalouma Agency, “The Taqadum Party, led by the ousted president, is behind the malfunction of the polling machines in the western regions for fear that candidates from the parties opposed to the ousted president would obtain high votes that would qualify them to form a new government and seize the power of the corrupt party that manages the affairs of the governorate in a manner “It led to widespread corruption in all government departments.”
Al-Dulaimi added, “The malfunction of about 7 machines in the polling centers in the western regions and the deprivation of hundreds of members of the security forces from participating in the special voting operations shows that the process of malfunctioning the machines was planned and carried out by leaders of a party that came forward to abort the opposition parties and move to manual counting and sorting operations in order to enable “Using fraud to influence election results.”
He pointed out that “private voting operations witnessed the recording of legal violations, but the Anbar Elections Commission office did not take any deterrent measures to limit this phenomenon for fear of its use in public voting operations.”
