The Maalouma Agency documented scandals and legal violations in the special ballot in Anbar, committed by the Taqadum Party, by buying voters’ accounts in the largest vote-buying scandal the governorate has witnessed.

The Al-Maalouma correspondent said that the governor of Anbar and a prominent leader in the Taqaddum Party, Ali Farhan Al-Dulaimi, bought votes for huge sums of money and distributed mobile phone credits openly near the polling stations, while the leader of the Taqaddum Party and deputy governor of Anbar, Jassem Al-Assal, commissioned his office managers to buy voter cards. Three of his office managers were arrested in possession of large sums of money.

He added that the National Security Service thwarted the purchase of voter cards in their possession with huge sums of money, carried out by the leader of the Taqadum Party, who holds the position of Mayor of the Amiriyat Al-Samoud District, Shaker Mahmoud Al-Issawi, indicating that Raad Khasha Al-Jawani, the candidate for the Qimm Alliance affiliated with the Taqadum Party, had his brother arrested. He has exaggerated amounts of money to promote his brother’s election.

He pointed out that the directors of the offices of the leader of the Taqadum Party and the director of the Ramadi Municipality, Omar Mishaan Dabbous, bought votes in exchange for sums of money, pointing out that the security forces were able to arrest a large number of those involved in buying voter cards during voting, and the Taqadum Party ranked first in violations. The law does not hold its candidates accountable due to pressures that prevent them from being referred to the judiciary.
