An economist urges the Central Bank to support exchange companies and criticizes the “police” measures

On Thursday, economic expert Ahmed Abd Rabbo urged the Central Bank of Iraq to support exchange companies.
Abd Rabbo said in an interview with ” Al-Jarida “, that “the monetary policy must be a calm policy, and it is not possible to control the exchange rate in a police manner,” adding that “Saddam Hussein could not control the parallel rate even by following dictatorial methods and executing speculators.”
He continued, “We are supposed to move towards supporting professional exchange companies in order to provide the dollar and facilitate the procedures for obtaining it for citizens.”
