Shafaq News/ The International Astronomy Center, which is based in the Emirates, announced in a tweet on its account on the “X” platform that Eid al-Fitr will fall on Wednesday, April 10, in most countries based on the sighting of the crescent.
He also explained in a lengthy statement yesterday evening, Thursday, that the countries that began the month of Ramadan on Monday, March 11, will search for the crescent on Monday, April 8, but seeing it on “that day is impossible because the moon sets before the sun and the conjunction occurs after sunset, and thus these countries will complete several months.” Ramadan lasts for thirty days, with Wednesday, April 10 being Eid al-Fitr.
In addition, the center has attached a map showing the extent to which the crescent of Shawwal can be seen on Tuesday, April 9, from all regions of the world.

While the Egyptian Fatwa House explained that it will verify the sighting of the crescent of Shawwal 1445, on Monday, Ramadan 29, corresponding to Monday, April 8, 2024, and if the sighting of the crescent is confirmed, the first day of Eid al-Fitr will be Tuesday, April 9, 2024, but if the sighting is not confirmed, then the month of Ramadan will take place. 30 days, so the first day of Eid will be Wednesday, April 10.
