An American military official announced that his country’s forces were attacked four times in Iraq and Syria yesterday, Thursday, with missiles and armed drones.
The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told Reuters that American and international forces were attacked in two locations in northeastern Syria using several missiles and a suicide drone.
In Iraq, several suicide drones were launched at Ain al-Asad air base west of Baghdad, and a drone was also launched at a base housing American forces near Erbil airport in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
The US military official stated that as of Thursday, 36 attacks had occurred in Iraq and 37 in Syria.
Yesterday, Thursday, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq launched an attack on an American base in Syria.
The resistance stated in a statement received by “Al-Ma’louma” that “in response to the crimes committed by the enemy against our people in Gaza, the Mujahideen of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq targeted the American occupation base in the Koniko oil field in Syria, with a missile salvo.”
