An alternative to gasoline .. 127 outlets in Iraq to equip vehicles with liquefied gasShafaq News/ The Oil Products Distribution Company of the Iraqi Ministry of Oil announced on Monday the opening of 7 new outlets to supply liquefied gas to vehicles, indicating that about 29 million and 500 thousand liters of vehicle gas (LPG) have been supplied to citizens’ vehicles through the outlets spread across the governorates.

The company’s general manager, Hussein Talib, said in a statement received by Shafak News Agency that these outlets were distributed over a number of governorates; three outlets were opened in Nineveh, two in Muthanna, and one outlet in each of Baghdad and Maysan.

The Director General praised the efforts of the national cadres who contributed to this achievement, stressing the continuation of work to open more outlets to meet the needs of citizens in various governorates.

For his part, the Director of the Equipment Authority, Falah Hashem, explained that the distribution company currently manages 70 vehicle gas outlets, while the gas filling company manages 53 outlets, bringing the total number of outlets to 123.

He stressed the continuation of efforts to expand the number of outlets to cover all governorates with liquefied gas services for vehicles.

The General Company for Gas Filling and Services says that more than 10 percent of the cars in the country have converted to the gas system, and that it is safer than gasoline systems.

Due to the high cost after the increase in the prices of gasoline (improved and premium), Iraqi citizens are accepting to convert their cars to run on gas instead of gasoline.
